Directing Actors founder Adrienne Weiss developed The Tools, a method that gives directors the skills they need to diagnose what’s wrong with performances and quickly make them great. Adrienne also works with actors, teaching them her method of tackling text. She also helps performers learn to take direction as well as facilitates the creation of important actor-director relationships. Sue had studied with Adrienne on and off for the past 7 years. Sue's approach to material, whether its TV scripts, screenplays, theatrical plays and even commercial copy is always based on the core method she learned through Adrienne and her tools.
